Mission: To enhance joy, health and creativity by engaging the community through dance. Danceworks’ vision is to be a driving force that builds community through movement and creative arts.
#GivingTuesday ask: You can help create safe spaces for individuals in our community to explore the joy, health and creativity that dance and friendship can provide. We need your help to ensure everyone in our community has access to resources that help combat isolation at this critical time through connecting with others and experiencing the joy that dance and movement brings. We have continued to offer in-studio and virtual class options, making everyone's comfortability, health and safety our top priority. #GivingTuesday ask: With special thanks to those who have already contributed, First Stage is asking for support for the HOPE Fund, a special relief initiative to help First Stage endure the financial effects related to COVID-19 during our 2020-2021 season. The HOPE Fund helps First Stage retain our talented team of artists, teachers and administrative staff and their ability to continue serving young people and families.
Mission: Imagine MKE is a diverse coalition united to advance both a thriving arts and culture sector and the sector's contributions to the cultural, social, and economic vitality of Milwaukee.
#GivingTuesday ask: Imagine MKE is reopening the Artist Relief Fund during the holiday season to support Milwaukee County-based artists who continue to be unable to safely return to earning money from their practice. Help us reach our goal of $100,000 to support 200 artists by the end of December.
Mission: The Kids From Wisconsin (KFW) select students ages 15-20, with demonstrated talent in musical performance. Students are professionally trained to provide positive, family-oriented performances to over 120,000 people annually. A Kids From Wisconsin experience enhances professional performing skills, along with developing leadership potential through local outreach and workshops that teach, mentor and inspire children through the performing arts. KFW also partners with many community-service groups to deliver affordable, high-quality entertainment, while helping raise funds for local projects.
#GivingTuesday ask: A special Milwaukee Project Needs Your Help on Giving Tuesday: Like many of us, the pandemic has given KFW the gift of time to evaluate and develop new ways to serve our community. In our case a comprehensive 12-week music residency program, “Music In Me,” for elementary students grades 3-6 at MPS and Milwaukee area Charter Schools has been developed and will roll out in January at Craig Montessori. The Pilot is designed through Basic Core Music Principles: Melody, Harmony, Rhythm and Form, and conclude with an end-of residency performance by the students.
Mission: The mission of the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is to produce intimate, high-quality, professional theatrical works of literary merit that engage and challenge the audience, while employing and nurturing principally local theatre artists.
#GivingTuesday ask: Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is raising money for the Wright Fund, an investment fund at GMF that will one day become our endowment when large enough. It is named after our recently retired Artistic Director, C. Michael Wright, who worked at MCT for 15 years.
Mission: Milwaukee Film is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to entertaining, educating, and engaging our community through cinematic experiences, with a vision to make Milwaukee a center for film culture.
#GivingTuesday ask: The Milwaukee Film Festival is moving to spring! Our 13th annual Festival will be held all - or almost all - virtually May 6-20. Passes are on sale now at a special price for the holidays of $140 ($75 for Members). Milwaukee Film memberships also make a great gift and, just like Festival passes, help support the nonprofit Milwaukee Film.
Mission: We are Milwaukee’s micro-brewery for opera, proudly producing small batches of high quality, local lyric theatre. We tell stories through music...unconventionally.
#GivingTuesday ask: Your support will allow us to continue to produce the local, lyric theater you've come to know and love, and expand the boundaries of what opera in the Age of Coronavirus can be (like recent and upcoming programming - The Decameron Opera Coalition, Enchanted Park(ing Lot), The Distance Commissions, L'ORFEO, Voice Labs, and our Script & Score education program with 6th Graders at MPS Parkside School for the Arts).
Mission: Through music and stories created for a culturally open-minded community, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee is a catalyst for creating a better, more inclusive and engaged Milwaukee.

You’ll get invites to connect with us, as well as fellow members who share your passion for music and Milwaukee! And if you donate by December 31, your gift can also support Milwaukee’s artists and creatives directly! Instead of offering physical membership gifts, we’re partnering with Imagine MKE’s Artist Relief fund this holiday season. If you choose this option we will donate 10% of your gift to Imagine MKE, where it will be used to help local artists stay afloat and keep creating.

Mission: Woodland Pattern is dedicated to the discovery, cultivation, and presentation of poetry, independent literature, and the arts. In addition to hosting poetry readings, concerts, film screenings, and exhibitions, Woodland Pattern offers year-round educational opportunities in creative writing and related arts for people of all ages—from after-school programs and summer camps for children and youth to book discussions, writing groups, and workshops for adults and seniors.
