Biz Times Interview at Black Cat Alley
It’s been a whirlwind last week and I have a ton of posts to catch up on but Tuesday was a real treat.
In advance of the press release of my appointment going live on Friday, our friends at Athena Communications helped to coordinate an exclusive with Lauren Anderson at the Biz Times about our organization and work. And rather than holding in the interview in our office at No Studios or at the Biz Times office, we were able to do it at Black Cat Alley, a prime example of how art can transform and create public spaces in our city.
After reading up on the prep that Annie made for me, I got there a few minutes early to walk through Black Cat Alley and take in all of the pieces. I was immediately struck by David Najib Kasir’s piece on the northeast wall. We will be following up with David in this space over the next few weeks so stay tuned for that.
After Lauren arrived, she interviewed Katie Heil, ImagineMKE’s board chair, and me in front of John Kowalczyk’s mural of twin albino bucks.
